Kim has over ten years’ experience in cultural heritage management and consulting archaeology in Victoria. His experience includes extensive Aboriginal cultural heritage assessments and historic archaeological excavations, specialising in the requirements under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
Kim has worked with Biosis for over seven years, developing across successive consultant roles within the Victorian heritage team. Kim has an aptitude for field based assessment, Aboriginal place recording and stakeholder consultations with Traditional Owners and a variety of clients.
He continues to lead in major projects delivery, client liaison and stakeholder engagement while providing support and learning opportunities to our team of heritage consultants. As a listed Heritage Advisor and qualified Archaeologist under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006, Kim has authored over 80 cultural heritage management plans and contributed to further significance and impact assessments and reports, under both state and commonwealth requirements. He actively works in conjunction with a variety of stakeholders, providing advice to both state and local government agencies, residential development, and utilities and major infrastructure providers. Kim provides heritage advice and undertakes assessments for a variety of projects conducted at Melbourne Airport on behalf of Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) Pty Ltd and their contractors, including the Third Runway (M3R) project.
