We’re looking for an experienced Senior Heritage Consultant to join our team in Melbourne.
To be successful in this role you will have a background in Aboriginal cultural heritage management, particularly focusing on the preparation of CHMPs, due diligence assessments and cultural heritage permits. you will also have experience in leading archaeological survey, test and salvage excavations.
Experience in preparing interpretation strategies, cultural values assessments or similar assessments is also highly valued. Recognition as a Heritage Advisor in Victoria is essential.
As a senior member of our team, you will not only lead projects with your exceptional project management skills, but offer technical support to the rest of the team.

You will need to submit your CV and cover letter addressing how you meet the below selection criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Archaeology (Honours level or equivalent preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in either consulting or the public sector with a focus on Aboriginal cultural heritage
- Experience in project management and budget control
- Ability to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with Aboriginal stakeholders
- Comprehensive report writing and proposal writing skills
- Understanding of Commonwealth and Victorian legislation and guidelines
- Willingness to undertake long periods of fieldwork in both urban and remote locations
- A current manual driver’s license
